Honoring Those That Served and Continue to Serve!

Happy Veteran's Day - Thank You for Your Service!

The U.S. holiday began as a celebration of the end of WWI. But in the wake of even deadlier conflicts, November 11 became a day to honor all military veterans. Today, we can proudly honor our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters who also served. For years, they served in silence out of fear of a dis-honorable discharge. Then under an horrific rule known as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." Today, the military is inclusive. Yes, there's still healing to be done, but regardles, we can now proudly honor ALL Veterans. This year, we are especially proud to lift up Dr. Rachel Levine.

Dr. Rachel Levine

Dr. Rachel Levine is once again making history, becoming the first openly transgender four-star officer to serve in any of the country's eight uniformed services.

During a ceremony Tuesday, Levine was sworn in as an admiral — the highest-ranking official of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. Levine's appointment to the USPHS Commissioned Corps also made her the organization's first female four-star admiral. For more about Dr. Levine, read the full article here.
