Let Food Be Thy Medicine!

Heal and Well-being from ElderPride

At ElderPride we are committed to the wisdom and insights that support our community to age forward with grace and ease. Our Health and Wellness Series offers this recommendation from our Executive Director, Avery James. Avery says: “We all know that food is there to satiate us when we're hungry as well as nourish the mind, the body, and the soul. Food has the ability to bring us together to form friendships, bring families together, and create community. Food also has healing properties available to us as we age, supplying us with vital nutrients and vitamins.”

The following video Let Food Be Thy Medicine was produced in collaboration with the UC San Diego Center for Integrative Nutrition, the Berry Good Food Foundation. This presentation convenes a panel of experts to discuss the rise of comprehensive medicine and nutritional healing to treat chronic disease and maintain general well-being.[6/2018] [Show ID: 33486] provides information for us to consider and in collaboration with our health care provide, decide if embarking our journey to heal ourselves using food instead of medicine as our regiment for aging forward. As the information may need to be explained, Avery welcomes your questions and comments. You’ll find his contact info below. Enjoy this presentation. - RJ
